2022 SA Amateur Championship

The Championship battled over 4 days came to a close this afternoon, with winners crowned in the 2022 SA Amateur Championship at Tanunda Pines Golf Club. Caitlin Peirce of Royal Adelaide Golf Club entered the match-play segment as Women’s Lead Qualifier, and remained strong throughout the matches to be victorious in the Women’s Championship, with a Final win of 4 & 3. Jack Buchanan of Glenelg Golf Club remained strong throughout the week, battling through extra holes not once, but twice, before hammering it home with a 3 & 2 win to take home the title.

The conclusion of the SA Amateur Championship marks the end of the 2022 SA Vardon Seaon. Not only did they triumph in this weeks event, Caitlin Peirce and Jack Buchanan also produced stellar seasons, and are now the offical winners of their respective SA Order of Merit categories. Championship Winner - Cameron Pollard (Sawtell Golf-Club)

Championship Runner-Up - Jamie Turner (Links Hope Island)

Nett Winner - Natascha Tennent (Wynnum Golf Club)

Nett Runner-Up - Scott Smith (Queensland Amputee Golf Association)

Stableford Winner - Cameron Reid (Blind Golf South Australia)

Stableford Runner-Up - Anthony Hart (Glenelg Golf Club)

SA Amateur Lead Women's qualifier with a great 2-over par total is Caitlin Peirce (Royal Adelaide Golf Club) and with an exceptional 6-under par total is Joseph Hodgson (Kooyonga Golf Club)
