CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 The titles were up for grabs in the final round of the club championships recently . Steve McAllister had a comfortable lead for the Club Champion title as the final four teed off on Hole #1. How did the day unfold? Summary of prize winners available. Steve (handicap 1) had a lead of eight shots over the next A Grader, Mickey Schimak-Orrell (off 4). As the match progressed, Mickey was able to hold his nerve, while Steve faltered. By the half way mark, Mickey had erased that lead, and more. He turned 2 ahead of Steve, and held on to win the Club Championship title by 6 shots (final four round score of 300). A great back-up to your win in 2020.

The joust for the B Grade title was less dramatic, a comfortable win for the third round leader, our own Greens Superintendent Andy (handicap 12). His eight shot lead over Jeff Morris grew to 13 shots, finishing with a four round total of 321. He must have been pumped up and full of confidence after his hole in one feat the previous Wednesday!

Third round leader of the C Grade, John Battilana, unfortunately had to pull out, and Richard Meiers, right behind John also was unavailable. So the title was anyone's, if you held your nerve. Thom Kirkwood, with a lead of only three over Tony Roche held on to take out the title by six shots (374 total).

Jenny Huggard was the unbackable runaway winner of the Weekend Ladies Champion, having increased her third round lead of five shots over Suzie Cahill to an impressive 11 strokes (four round total 332). Jenny followed up her title win from last year.
