Claiming Cup Brisbane GC QLD

BGC hosted Indooroopilly GC in the annual Claiming Cup, a midweek event between the two Clubs which has been played since 1967. On a perfect day for golf, defending champions IGC were too strong and defeated BGC 7-5 in the 4BBB Stableford format. As a result the Cup remains at BGC and any visiting IGC Member is able to request a drink from the pewter mug while visiting BGC. Tony Rees, the visiting Captain, made good use of this rule before and after the game.
