Harris & Nobbs dominate Victorian Junior Open

Vic Junior Open champions Charlie Nobbs & Amelia Harris

Amelia Harris and Charlie Nobbs have powered to victories in the 2021 Victorian Junior Open.

With play taking place recently across both courses at 13th Beach Golf Links and Barwon Heads, players were greeted with fantastic conditions throughout the tournament.

The pair have also won their way into the 2022 Vic Open in February.

Harris led from the first day with consistent scores of 75, 72, 71 and 78.

The 13-year-old from Yarra Yarra Golf Club finished 12 clear of her nearest rival in Mt.Derrimut’s Louise Baliton.

Baliton was a further four shots clear of Alexandra Phanuruk who rounded out the top three.

A blistering final round 68 from Nobbs was the catalyst to his ten-shot victory.

After starting the tournament with a 74, Nobbs was seven shots back with work to be done.

A brilliant 66 on day two followed by a 70 on day three, paved the way for Nobbs to claim the title.
