The rumour mill is still in overdrive as the LIV Golf saga continues. Collin Morikawa has strongly denied any move saying I’m staying. I want to win majors. There is a new confirmed signing, the promising Abraham Ancer.

However the names of Hideki Matysuyama and Adam Scott are now linked and two new signings are expected to be announced today.

The them and us scenario is under way with nine of the ten LIV Golf players in the BMW International this weekend being grouped together in threes, suggesting perhaps they are not welcome.

The one piece of possible good news is that the R&A will allow LIV players to compete at the 150th Open Championships. CEO Martin Slumbers said all players who are exempt or have earned a place can play.

This will be a big weekend for Kiwis with many of them playing around the world including Steve Alker at the US Senior Open
